Interactive Intelligence, a provider of cloud contact centre technology, is in merger talks with Genesys, according to a report in the International Business Journal.
Under the proposed merger, Genesys would acquire Interactive using some or all of the $900 million investment it received from private equity firm Hellman & Friedman, although no figures have been announced.
Interactive has a market value of $1.3 billion and reported sales of $109 million for the second quarter of this year.
Genesys is also considering buying Avaya’s call centres, according to IBJ.com.
Genesys is a contact centre infrastructure provider, and is held by a group of investors, including H&F, Permira Advisers, and Technology Crossover Ventures.
